Discuss the new cage here and feel free to give us feedback on the design on any other accessories you might want to see.
Here's a link back to the original blog post for more info.

It looks great, and the price is very good for the cage, and the V-lock mount too.
Will the cage make harder to reach the Record button at the front?

thanks.

edit: one more question, will the V-lock mount have two outputs? This would be extremely useful for powering the camera, and an additional monitor.

In addition to the front record button there is also a record button on the rear of the camera. We will be providing a method to start/stop the camera at your fingertips (more on that in a week or two). As for the vmount power outputs, its different than the image above - we will have an integrated cable with the barrel jack for power leaving the PTAP free for other accessories.

wow.
So you will have a perfect V-mount battery mount for 200$, and you're also creating some kind of LANC controller:)
Is there a newsletter option to be able to hear when the cage can be pre-ordered?

Just ordered the cage for BMC (special thanks to John Brawley, he showed this cage and made me feel to have it too) and I can't wait to see it!

I don't have BMC yet because of all these delays from BMD and not too smart politics of B&H but I hope I'll get the camera before the end of the world ;-)))
and I hope I'll get my cage from viewfactor before the camera! :-))))

thanks guys for such a nice product! design is really good! sad that i don't have the money for the idx mount, but at least the cage :)

cheers!

Thanks for the order Pete! We'll have your order out this week. We were caught off guard by the demand but we're catching up. Next week we should be shipping from stock.

Thanks, bought my Contineo cage with custom laser etching, and to my surprise, was received in only three days!
