The Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) surrounds the EPIC camera with a billet aluminum structure that securely holds the camera while providing numerous mounting points for accessories. The FMJ is designed to wrap around the camera body as closely as possible and lock into the top and bottom mounting locations of the camera while providing proper spacing on the bottom of the camera for use on standard Red Base plates.

The FMJ adds dozens of 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 accessory mounting points on all sides of the camera as well as a 15mm LW bracket for lens accessories such as a follow focus and mattebox.  The included side arms allow for even more flexibility by integrating mounting holes and standard NATO rails into one part for mounting any Red rail accessories.

The FMJ-TOP-M was designed to be an invisible accessory for the Red Epic-M camera - once you install it, it becomes part of the camera.

The plate replaces the Epic's existing plastic exhaust grill, strengthening the top of the camera, protecting its innards and increasing the overall exhaust surface area by more than 60%. It has increased surface area for both passive [top] and active [rear] cooling while also adding a little bit of front venting and side venting as well.

One of the challenges with a cheese plate on the Epic is to design it in such a way that it doesn't block the cooling vents or the wireless antennas. The large cutout in the middle of the plate is there specifically to maintain wireless reception with the plate attached. The front of the antenna hole also happens to line up with the camera's focal plane.

The 1/4-20 holes on the top of the cheese plate are spaced identically to RED's components, letting you mount any RED accessory on the plate just as though you were mounting it to the camera. There are also two 3/8-16s on the center line [one in the front and one in the back] for rigging. We've even used it as a Steadicam low-mode bracket in a pinch.

The plate lets you mount the top handle simultaneously with your LCD… or your ET EVF bracket and top handle without needing a top mount… or a zillion NOGA arms… you name it. NATO rails may also be mounted on the sides of the plate. With that you can mount any of RED's new handles, rosettes or iris rod channels without adding anything else.

The plate is designed to secure to the 1/4-20 screws on the Epic body as well as the four M3 holes used by the original fan grill for extra security and alignment. All of the screws are captured. The plate is as lightweight and streamlined as possible, in fact the FMJ-TOP-M only weighs 6.7 oz (190g), barely more than a single top mount for the RED One.

In the interest of making it an accessory that you'll never have to remove, there is a  pass-through hole for the camera's backfocus adjustment. Just stick your T-10 Torx in there and you're good to go - it's protected the rest of the time.

The Stealth plate has dozens of 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 mounting holes with RED spacing so that any standard RED accessory can be mounted to it. It provides a handy way to quickly attach a number of accessories to your Epic camera.  Additionally, you can stick a screw into the plate and hook your tape measure on it for a simple focus hook.  

One of the greatest things about the Stealth plate is how quickly you can remove it. When you remove the side handle from your Epic you have to screw in a blanking plate that comes with the camera body to protect the sensitive connections inside. Instead of using the blanking plate that came with the camera, you can replace it with the Stealth Plate. The mounting screw is captured too, so there's no risk of losing it.  The Stealth plate simply feels like an extension of the camera body - you'll never know it's there.

The APU-IDX battery plate is a lightweight, compact, and easy to install  battery mount for the Red Epic-X, Epic-M, and Scarlet cameras. Simply hand tighten the four provided shoulder screws onto the rear of your camera then slide on the plate and plug it in.... its that simple! This plate is for use with V-mount batteries only.

The FMJ-SIDEARM bracket was designed to be used with the FMJ-TOP and FMJ-BOTTOM to provide mounting options for accessories on the side of the Red EPIC camera. The bracket attaches to the existing side mounting locations on the FMJ-BOTTOM/TOP and includes two captured 1/4-20 fasteners.

The FMJ-SIDEARM has seven 1/4-20 and six 3/8-16 mounting locations on 19mm centers along the length of the bracket. The Shuttle mount recreates the mounting geometry for the REDmote found on the rear of the Epic camera.  It allows the REDmote to be mounted to any surface via standard 1/4-20 screws.  The Shuttle has standard 9mm Red spacing so it can be mounted to a View Factor Stealth plate, FMJ-Top, FMJ-Sidearm, or any other accessory with a 1/4-20 mounting location. Additionally, the rear of the Shuttle has a single threaded 1/4-20 hole for mounting on a Noga arm. The ability to mount your REDmote anywhere on your camera frees up the back of the camera to mount a RED BACKPACK or the soon to be released View Factor IDX/AB battery plate.
