The PTAP-USB convertor contains a switching power supply which supplies 5V to a Micro-USB output connector. The PTAP-USB plugs into any standard PTAP/DTAP battery receptacle and provides a means to charge or operate an iPhone, RedMote, or other small USB powered accessory.
The PTAP-USB convertor includes a Micro-USB to Standard-USB receptacle. Any standard iPhone/iPad charging cable can be used. RedMote controllers use a Mini-USB connector so an optional Mini-USB to Standard-USB cable is necessary.

Please note that Micro-USB connectors are very small and not typically regarded as rugged connectors. Take precautions to ensure that the Micro-USB cable is protected so as to not pull or stress the Micro-USB connector on the PTAP-USB.
